… long time ago but busy with work (August is always pretty busy), busy with meeting my family (<3), busy with being sick (bleh - felt a sore throat on Thursday evening, went to work friday, got home and went straight to bed. Have been laying in bed / on the couch until today and hope I can go back to work tomorrow).

I’m leaving for FRANCE on Saturday YAY! So I won’t blog for at least four weeks, but that’s nothing new. No new Flickr images in that time too but I hope I’ll take a sh**load of photos in France

So I just read the comments on my “I’m on vacation” post and I see you’re expecting photos. So here they are
The wonderful beach of Moliets-Plage, France. The photos on top were taken at sunset and I really like the smooth colors. I overexposed on purpose and prefer that.

Sooooo… my first time surfing. The Lover is a surfer, had an extra board and took me to France to learn surfing. I started in the whitewater (see the photos) and the last days I was surfing falling the big waves. Unfortunatelly no wipeout photos of me like this one at boost-your-surfing.com or surfscience.com but wipeouts like that happend ALL THE TIME!!!!! Next year I’ll practice more

The vacation was great! The weather was great, it only rained on a few days and on those days we drove to Biarritz in the south or to the Dune du Pyla in the north.
How was your vacation? Did you do anything exciting? Didn’t you have vacation yet but still will?
As a birthday present to the lover, I booked a night in lovely Abtenau, Salzburger Land, Austria. It was wonderful

It was so so lovely. There were great and friendly people there, we had a wonderful dinner, a quite evening where we both read (I’m reading TWILIGHT at the moment), a lovely and cozy night, a wonderful morning full of sunshine and a great breakfast. After we left, at around 11am, we went to a “alpine slide” which was fun, almost like riding a roller coaster. We hiked up the mountain which took about an hour and drove down. It was a lovely weekend and I wish it would last forever…
